At MidCoast Fly Fishers, we’re more than just a fishing club—we’re a community of anglers who share a love for the art of fly fishing and the waters of Florida’s east coast. About the club
Welcome to our website, Mid Coast Fly Fishing Club is open to the public, we invite you to come to our meetings and check us out, memberships are very affordable. We have been an established club for approx 25 years, are a 501c3 Non Profit Organization and are a member club of Fly Fishers International.
Regular meetings are held on the 2nd and 3rd Monday of each month at 7 PM, and every Saturday get together at 10 AM to 12 noon. We offer free fly casting lessons before every meeting and get togethers.
Our long time meeting location is at the FOP Lodge 471 Old Mission Road New Smyrna Beach, Florida 32168 with both an outside yard for casting, covered pavilion and inside air conditioned meeting room.
Monthly Meetings
We have meetings the 2nd and 3rd Monday of the month at the FOP lodge in New Smyrna Beach
Monthly Fly Tying
The meeting on the 3rd Monday is for tying a fly that matches what the fish are eating at that time of year. All materials are provided.
Weekly Casting Practice
Every Saturday (weather permitting) we meet outside at the lodge to practice casting. If you are new to fly fishing and need some pointers, this is a great place to learn.
